Vantage launches first Silicon Valley data center

First of three facilities at former Intel campus fully leased

Vantage has officially launched the first of three data centers on site of the former Intel campus in Santa Clara, California. All 40,000 sq ft of raised floor in the recently completed building has already been leased out, a Vantage spokeswoman wrote in an email.

The building provides 6MW of critical load on the campus whose total IT power capacity is 37MW.

Vantage is shooting to complete the second building by September of this year, which will add 45,000 sq ft of raised floor and 9MW of power, expandable to 18MW. The company is currently in discussions to lease out the entire second facility.

The third and largest building is slated for completion in December. It will offer 110,000 sq ft of raised floor and 23MW of power.
