“The growing popularity of smart phones, the launch of 4.5G by Turkcell and mobile gaming are driving the acceleration of highly available, resilient, and scalable data center deployments in Turkey”, says Hakan Cem Topal, Information Technologies Manager at the real estate giant Sinpaş GYO, who is set to keynote at the event this December.

Istanbul, digital bridge, regional powerhouse

The event will connect senior regional and international IT infrastructure executives in Istanbul to debate the future of this growing market. The latest investments in 4.5G by Turkcell and colocation facilities in Istanbul by major multinationals has been driven by the city’s robust and growing internet connectivity, establishing Istanbul as a major market, budding financial hub, and key strategic digital bridge between the Europe, the Middle and Asia.

“Istanbul’s status as a regional banking hub is certainly fuelling demand for local data centers where Turkish client data can be housed but it is the demand for high-speed, low-latency connectivity with other financial and business centres across Europe is also essential”, says Cenk Niksarli CTO at Halkbank who is also set to speak at the event.

Programme to cover the entire IT stack

As IT  is increasingly becoming software-defined, the conference agenda has been constructed to include the  8 conference tracks, which aims to address the core challenges across the entire IT stack of the data center and cloud infrastructure, from digital infrastructure ‘North of the rack”, to critical physical infrastructure ‘South of the rack’.
Keynotes and debates from some of the leading organisations representing enterprises, aviation, government, media and the education sector are already confirmed, including Halkbank, Ministry of Development, Turkish Airlines, TAI, Tubitak, Defacto, and many more.

“IT leaders in the region are facing challenges trying to keep up with the ever-evolving digital landscape. Leveraging on our strong ties with the regional and international community, we are curating a platform for the Turkish market to come together, exchange ideas and best practices in order to make risk-based IT infrastructure decisions covering the entire IT stack”, says George Rockett, CEO & Co-Founder of DatacenterDynamics.

DCD is moving to a ‘free-to-attend, by invitation’ event model for qualified end-user business executives, managers and technical professionals directly engaged with IT, data center and cloud infrastructure.
