The pre-event Launch held on April 13 marked the first official gathering of China DC Week to highlight direction for the industry. Over 150 CXOs and senior professionals came to network and discuss the latest trends in the region that will be showcased at this year’s China Datacenter Week 2017. The launch event was supported by major industry players including DCScience and the Dr. Peng group.

“Today’s launch event is just the appetizer. The magic of China Datacenter Week will truly be here in Shanghai between 12 - 15th June. It will be a week long gathering of infrastructure technology executives coming from across the nation, and foreign technology companies seeking to build or invest in China,” commented Vincent Liew, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, DCD.

“It was good to see so many people present at the pre-event launch. We heard many discussing about the latest exciting innovations and activities hitting this rapidly-transforming region, including the IoT process, IT infrastructure transformation, IT investment and more. We even talked about how Fintech impacts our industry… ”said Franck Petit, Regional Account Manager at DCD, who gave an opening address at the launch, where he gave a detailed rundown of the China Datacenter Week calendar featuring DCD Enterprise China Conference & Expo, DCPro training and networking activities, as well as an overview of the 2017 APAC Calendar including SE Asia Datacenter Week and the APAC Awards.

As one of the key partners of China DC Week, alongside with Alibaba and Baidu, Tencent will be sharing its latest case study – the first CCHP (combined cooling, heat and power) practice in China - in conjunction with the week’s activites. Tencent has imported advanced solutions to its data center in Shanghai which will be revealed during a site tour during China Datacenter Week.

DCD will showcase innovations developed both in China and abroad during China Datacenter Week. Delegates will be able to get a closer look at leading technology over IT transformation with more than 1000 veterans from BAT, DCScience, Dr.Peng, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Financial Futures Exchange, Shanghai AtHub, Shanghai Data Solution, Centrin Huaqiao Data Systems and many banks.
