The Data Center Operations Team of the Year category of the DCD Awards is now closed for applications, following a high number of entries from all over the world.

The category finalists will be announced on November 7th at DCD’s annual Zettastructure event in London, and the winner will claim their prize at the DCD>Awards gala event held on December 7th at the luxurious Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, following two rounds of judging by a panel of industry experts.

“This award seeks to recognize ambitious projects where the team has been convened for a special purpose or task relating to a shared data center environment, and celebrate people who go above and beyond their everyday duties at any point in the life-cycle of the data center,” said George Rockett, CEO of DCD.

Meeting critical challenges

The award is sponsored by Eaton, an expert in delivering customised, integrated power solutions that solve most critical data center challenges.

“We are delighted to be supporting a category that recognizes the importance of teamwork when it comes to mission-critical operations. Human factors play an intrinsic role in guaranteeing uptime,” commented Dennis O’Sullivan, data center solutions operations specialist at Eaton Power Quality.

This year’s judging panel for the DCD Awards Data Center Operations Team of the Year category includes:
