Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp suffered an outage for around half an hour.

From around 5pm GMT, DownDetector reported a spike on the three Facebook-owned properties.

FB’s status page reported the platform as “healthy” throughout, and did not show any issues. WhatsApp and Instagram do not have their own status pages. The company hasn’t reported anything on its own social media pages.

#WhatsAppDown, along with various references to Mark Zuckerberg and his companies, are trending on Twitter.

The outage comes a week after nearly 3 million websites were brought offline by a fire at OVHCloud's data center in Strasbourg.
