Management software vendor FNT has launched three additions to its data center management software range, with ‘major’ new releases of FNT Command and FNT ServicePlanet software to be available in June.

The new FNT Command 10 offers predefined dashboards that collect intelligence on IT equipment, data center capacities and network structure. FNT Command 10 will also feature a new Graphic Center, which FNT says will extend the analysis and display net structures dynamically.

Predefined dashboards will also be used in FNT ServicePlanet 3, this time to evaluate the efficiency of IT services.

Both packages promise an “integration and collaboration” element, according to the vendor. The standard integration of FNT software with other systems is to be improved by the addition of a newly developed Business Gateway. This allows for simplified communication with other systems and standard interfaces. The vendor says its packages can exchange data openly with Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) or VMware vCenter.

The developers have concentrated on making FNT more user friendly, in order to speed the adoption of the package, according to CEO Nikolaus Albrecht. A new search function promises quicker data access. ServicePlanet 3, meanwhile, has a simplified user interface and role-based views that can optimise daily tasks.

The third addition to FNT’s portfolio is Command Mobile that aims to simplify the care for infrastructure assets on-site, by allowing users to input information using their mobiles.

“These new innovations have been added to help prepare users for the upcoming digital transformation,” said Albrecht, who will demonstrate the product at CeBIT in Hannover in March.
