Jonathan Evans of LuxConnect tells us that the Luxembourg government sees data centers as an essential industry, so they don’t pay any tax on the electricity they consume. The energy is also renewable from hydroelectric sources.
LuxConnect is building Tier IV data centers there, and pitching for business based on the country’s cloud-friendly laws and centrality to European markets.
