Oliver Jones is the CEO of Chayora, a business that develops data centers in China for some of the world’s largest organizations.

Jones says that the data center market in China offers the most exciting opportunities data center professionals will see in their lifetime. The country represents around a quarter of the world’s online population, and this number is set to grow further, with the government planning to bring another 600 million users online in the next five years.

And yet, China is underserved by data center providers. The market is not without its challenges, chief among which is the ‘Great Firewall of China’.

The meeting took place at the DCD as-a-Service event in Chicago, that concluded on Wednesday.
