Virtus Data Centres and euNetworks have partnered to deliver a scalable dark fiber solution to meet growing connectivity demands of Virtus’ LONDON2 data center in Hayes.

euNetworks’ connectivity solution is designed to offer diverse ducts into the data center, with multiple sub ducts per duct and high fiber count cables.

Each fiber pair can support nx10Gb or 100Gb wavelength connectivity, which the partnership claim will make LONDON2 one of the quickest and easiest facilities for customers to connect into, from Tier I and Tier II carriers, to high bandwidth consuming enterprises and cloud companies.

euNetworks said Virtus customers will benefit from the partnership as they will gain seamless access to its high speed metropolitan network across London and connectivity to more than 240 data centers in the UK and across Europe.

Virtus Data Centres’ CEO Neil Cresswell said connectivity is becoming a deciding factor for customers looking at a colo data center.

“Our customers now have access to an extremely rich carrier environment and unparalleled connectivity options across London, the UK and Europe, from Dark Fibre to IP connectivity,” Cresswell said.
