Rittal has added new efficiency monitoring capabilities to its RiMatrix S data center construction solution which includes servers, network, racks, power distribution, climate control and back up.

The solution already comes with monitoring and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software but Rittal said it offers additional monitoring for power usage effectiveness (PUE) with a new PUE efficiency package.

Rittal performs the measurement of the metrics using its RiZone DCIM software.

The PUE solution includes both hardware and software.

Rittal claims its RiMatrix S data center can achieve a PUE of up to 1.15.

The German company sold its first RiMatrix S data center to the Sallschlager Group, a precision tools business, back in May last year.
