The DCD team looks at the most interesting data centers announced last week

This week on White Space we talk about nuclear energy for data centers, since the Russians have decided to drop a massive server farm on top of the Kalinin nuclear power station.

Meanwhile in the UK, Goldacre Ventures is building a data center campus at Kao Park, on the site where more than 50 years ago Sir Charles Kao developed a way to reliably send information down fiber optic cables - a discovery that won him the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2009.

We also look at HostDime’s seven story data center in Orlando, which will feature hotel-style rooms for overnight stay and drones as security guards.

Other topics covered in the episode include Google buying solar power from Duke Energy, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise announcing it will resell Microsoft’s Azure cloud. So where does that leave Helion?
