Upsite Technologies, vendor of data center airflow management products, has launched KoldLok 2 Post Rack Grommet, a solution for airflow optimization.

The grommet prevents bypass airflow by sealing off the rectangular area in the two-post cabinet, while preventing dust and other debris from getting trapped in hard-to-reach areas.

The company's president John Thornell said, “The KoldLok 2 Post Rack Grommet is an easy-to-install airflow management product that gives data center managers the ability to realize instant efficiency gains.”

Upsite recently reviewed a number of data centers around the US and concluded that only 13% were maximizing their facilities' cooling capacity.
