Provider of data center infrastructure management solutions Sentilla has added to the list of other vendors’ products that integrate with its Energy Manager product.
The manager now integrates with BMC’s Performance Manager, IBM’s Tivoli Monitoring and Cisco’s Unified Computing System. The solution had previously been integrated with VMware vSphere, SAP BusinessObjects Explorer and open-source tools Ganglia and Nagios.
Sentilla Energy Manager evaluates IT performance in the context of energy and resources consumed by applications. It measures, tracks and analyzes a data center’s energy profile, gathering data from metered and non-metered assets.
Sentilla CTO and co-founder Joe Polastre said in a statement that most companies did not realize how big the amount of actionable information on data center efficiency was untapped in management tools they already had.
"Unlike solutions that offer insight into one piece of the efficiency puzzle, Sentilla provides a clear and holistic picture of the entire data center environment and offers comprehensive analysis to respond to increased service demands and cost reduction pressures," he said.
Energy Manager works with data center infrastructure gear by APC, Eaton, Emerson, Johnson Controls and Siemens.
