Developer of data center monitoring and management software Modius has partnered with RF Code, a provider of wireless environmental sensors, to integrate the two companies' products and deliver them jointly.

RF Code's sensors monitor a variety of factors, including air temperature and humidity, as well as presence of conductive liquids. The sensors will complement Modius's core product OpenData, a software solution that collects real-time data from IT devices and facilities infrastructure, assessing its availability and performance.

They feed data directly into OpenData to be incorporated into the analysis of the facility's state and performance created by the San Francisco-based company's software.

\"Their open approach to integration has made it easy to extend the value of our OpenData solution by adding critical environmental information that affects the performance and availability of our customers' physical assets,\" Modius CEO Craig Compiano said in a statement about the company's new partner.

Besides data centers, Modius solutions are applied in other critical facilities such as call centers, IT closets and mechanical yards.
