Minkels’ MatrixCube designed for companies that want to keep infrastructure in-house
Data center equipment maker Minkels has launched a preconfigured modular data center for small and medium sized businesses in Europe. MatrixCube consists of two server racks with an in-rack DX cooling system and a rack-based power distribution system.
The MatrixCube can be installed in modular units
The product has launched in Belgium and the Netherlands in March, and will be made available to other European markets including the UK and France later in 2016.
It arrives with racks, cooling, an uninterruptable power supply and monitoring systems. Its airflow optimisation ensures energy efficiency, Minkels said.
“The new fully integrated solution meets the needs of small and medium sized companies that want to keep their IT infrastructure within the four walls of their organisation,” said Vincent Liebe, the manufacturer’s marketing manager.
Minkels will measure the success of the product in Europe before deciding whether to extend it to a global market.
The MatrixCube will be presented at the Infosecurity conference in Belgium on June 15 and 16.
