The President of the Board of Huber+Suhner AG, Erich Walser, passed away on 30 December 2014. Erich Walser had played a decisive role in the work of the Board of Directors of Huber+Suhner during eleven years - as Vice President, and since 2014 as President.

The board of directors, executive management and employees are reported to be deeply affected.

After a short and serious illness, Erich Walser passed away in his 68th year of life, a tragically young age to pass away.

In a statement the board of Huber+Suhner said: “His great experience in management and leadership, his loyalty, his positive and integrating attitude, his strong sense of responsibility and his personal modesty were of great influence to his valuable work for Huber+Suhner AG. With his passion and commitment he always strove for the best for the company and the employees.

“Our Board of Directors, Executive Management and employees will always remember Erich Walser in the most honorable way.

“Until further notice, our Board will be directed by the Vice President, Mr.Beat Kaelin. The final succession will be defined by the Board in due time.”
