Data center colocation company Fortrust has leased space within its IO.Anywhere modular data center to Ajubeo, a cloud-infrastructure provider. Fortrust uses data center modules built by Phoenix-based IO to build out data center capacity for its clients.

Ajubeo moved into a Fortrust data center in the New York metro, making it its primary data center hub.

Tom Whitcomb, Ajubeo co-founder and CIO, said recently obtained funding from Grey Mountain Partners and strong demand for its cloud services made this an ideal time to expand in the northeast. “We selected Fortrust and IO.Anywhere for its unparalleled energy efficiency when supporting high-density colocation environments such as Ajubeo cloud computing.

“Additionally, the new modular data center will increase operational efficiency and reinforce our layered cloud security model with multiple new access denial features.”

Fortrust has been Ajubeo's data center provider in the Denver market since the company's inception. Fortrust's New York metro data center is located in Edison, New Jersey.

David Shepard, a former IO man who was recently apponted to lead Fortrust's sales and marketing effort, said, “IO.Anywhere was built for companies like Ajubeo who demand maximum uptime, scalability and security. IO.Anywhere can handle increased per-rack densities and provide intelligent data center design that enables expedited cloud hub commissioning and data center expansion.

“We were able to provide this optimum solution in a standardized deployment across states to expedite Ajubeo's growth.”
