American data center infrastructure specialist Instor Solutions has expanded overseas, with the opening of its first European office in Dublin, Ireland.

The company offers data center design and installation services. It also distributes racks and enclosures, sensors, power and cooling equipment, KVM switches and technical furniture.

Instor hopes the new office will enable its US-based customers to leverage the company’s expertise for their European projects.

Across the pond

Instor is an infrastructure business with more than 30 years of history headquartered in Freemont, California. The company offers not just the equipment, but also consulting services, including a complete ‘data center fit up’ program that can transform wholesale white space to make it ready for tenant equipment.

Instor has been carrying out such ‘fit ups’ for some of the largest American data center operators including Digital Realty, with which it has a long-term partnership.

To oversee its European expansion, the company has appointed industry veteran Norbert Kutter as the director of Global Business Development.

“Our decision to formally expand into Ireland was in response to the tremendous demand from our customers to gain access to Instor’s services beyond the United States,” said Bob Hancock, president of Instor.

“We are thrilled to broaden our offerings overseas under the direction of Norbert Kutter and anticipate an exciting year ahead as Ireland, in particular, is experiencing enormous growth in the data center market.”

The company said it plans to expand further in the coming months to serve additional foreign markets.
