Richard Jenkins says RF Code has been sticking sensors on stuff before it was cool

RF Code’s sensor networks are used for centralized power, cooling and asset control. The offering consists of tiny electronic tags placed all around the data center – Richard Jenkins, vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development at RF Code, says the company has been working with the Internet of Things for the past 17 years.

In this interview, Jenkins explains how sensor data has enabled RF Code to develop new products and services, including CenterScape – a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platform launched last week.

He talks about the impact of IoT, and the importance of cooperation with own customers as well as third-party DCIM vendors.

The conversation took place at the DCD Internet conference in San Francisco, which concluded on Monday.
