Special paint

SGDataCenter is based on a “High Cube” container, larger than a standard ISO module, which can hold more IT kit. It has been placed out of doors at the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery of Cáceres.

”We painted the container with a special paint to reduce the temperature inside the container, because in Extremadura temperatures are extreme,” says  Cortés.

As well as this, a novel rack cooling system allows single racks to be cooled.

DCD Converged Madrid also features the head of IT at UEFA, Daniel Marion, who will reveal how technology helps keep European football in play.

James Monahan, head of critical engineering for eBay, will share some of the commerce giant’s best practices, including the use of fuel cells to simplify power delivery at its data centers.
