Leaseweb has launched a new hosting platform with turnkey private cloud solutions.
The platform, based on Apache CloudStack, aims to give users flat-fee access to dedicated resource pools where they can create and manage virtual cloud resources. The aim is to enable customers to orchestrate an “unlimited amount” of cloud instances, each with dedicated cores and RAM.
All cloud environments would connect to multiple physical routers using multiple 10Gb connections and would be hosted by LeaseWeb’s “fully redundant” infrastructure. The company says its global network includes multiple transit and peering uplinks via 30 IXs and 27 PoPs.
Robert van der Meulen, manager of cloud at LeaseWeb, said “more and more” organizations do not require a heavily customized private cloud and are instead looking for a solution that offers high scalability and total control over resource allocation.
