Isle of Man Internet service provider Wi-Manx is close to finalizing a project worth multi-million pounds that could see its headquarters become the most modern data center on the self-governing island west of England.

Netcetera has a data center on the island as does Datacenter Awards entrant Domicilium as does Dataport.

Wi-Manx offers voice-over-Internet-protocol services using microwave wireless technologies, as well as services for the fixed line market.

The first phase of Its new data center project is expected to be complete in Q1 2011 along with full project commissioning.
