Managed services company Datapipe has bought Newvem, a cloud-usage analytics and operations optimization firm for an unspecified sum.
The company said the deal would enhance its manages service offering for Amazon Web Services. A combined cloud solution makes it easier for enterprises to deploy, govern, analyze, optimize and manage workloads on the AWS cloud to meet specific business requirements.

The provider also gains an experienced cloud development and business team, he added.
Benefits to enterprise customers include customizable visibility into AWS purchasing options, costs and usage. They will be able to forecast and execute IT and cloud budgets with control and confidence, Datapipe said.
Fuhu, a tablet vendor and a Datapipe customer is using the provider's hybrid-cloud solution. “Ensuring that business critical workloads are secure and cost effective over the public cloud is very important to us; added capabilities to forecast costs, as well as identify opportunities to improve usage are a big part of making our cloud operations successful,” Jim Mitchell, Fuhu CEO, said.
