Data center colocation and disaster recovery and managed services provider Data Foundry has announced it is expanding its Ashburn presence by deploying a colo business suite inside Equinix’s DC10 data center.

The business suits is designed to meet growing demand from Data Foundry’s customers for managed services and managed colo space in Northern Viginia’s 'Data Center Alley'.

Data Foundry said some of its current customers such as IT solutions provider Apptix have already signed up for space in DC10.

Equinix’s DC10 is a carrier-neutral data center that includes N+1 redundancy on all infrastructure, remote hands support, multi-megawatt capacity, multiple levels of security and advanced fire suppression systems.

Data Foundry’s president and CFO Shane Menking said the company eithers owns and operates its own facilities or it deploys within reliable and connected facilities.

“It’s exciting to expand our East Coast presence in response to existing customer demand and at the same time be able to serve companies based within the Virginia market,” Menking said.

Data Foundry owns and operates four data centers in Texas and offers a portfolio of global colo and managed services in facilities located in Ashburn, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
