Digital Realty Trust, Inc, a leading owner and manager of corporate data centers and Internet gateways, has announced that BT has signed a lease agreement to establish a new data center in one of Digital Realty Trust's US Turn-Key Datacenter(TM) facilities.
"Our Turn-Key Datacenters(TM) are designed to meet our customers' immediate and future computing requirements," said Chris Crosby, senior vice president of Digital Realty Trust. "As a long-term owner and operator, we are pleased to welcome BT to our facility and we look forward to working with them to support their ongoing mission critical computing infrastructure."
Digital Realty Trust's Turn-Key Datacenters(TM) are move-in ready, physically secure facilities with the power and cooling capabilities to support critical enterprise applications. Digital Realty Trust offers scalability from one hundred square feet to over one hundred thousand square feet in state-of-the-art facilities with true carrier and managed service provider neutrality and metered power. Its Critical Facilities Management(TM) services and team of technical engineers and datacenter operations experts support the 24/7 mission-critical applications of today's technology and corporate enterprise tenants.
In an another unrelated development, Digital Realty Trust has announced it has completed a lease agreement with Net2EZ for space in its 600 West 7th Street facility in downtown Los Angeles. The lease agreement provides Net2EZ, a prominent Western US Regional data center operator, with 15,000 square feet of raised floor Turn-Key Datacenter(TM) space in Suite 550 of the building as well as office space in Suite 560 of the building. The space leased through this agreement will support expanded technology infrastructure and corporate operations for Net2EZ, which provides a comprehensive range of data center solutions including collocation, connectivity, and managed hosting services to name just a few.
The facility at 600 West 7th Street offers us an ideal solution in an ideal location with both office and datacenter space that has all of the technical capabilities to match our requirements. The facility will also be able to accommodate our needs in the future as our company continues to grow," said Pervez Delawalla, co-founder and CEO of Net2EZ. "Digital Realty Trust has been a true partner through this process, and we appreciate its efforts to make sure this agreement supports both our technical and business needs."
"Finding high-quality data center space for major projects is difficult in Los Angeles, and is even more difficult to find a facility that also has enough capacity to grow with customers over time. This makes 600 West 7th Street and our other Southern California facilities unique in the market," said Brent Behrman, Vice President of Sales for Digital Realty Trust. "Flexibility is one of the hallmarks of Digital Realty Trust facilities like 600 West 7th Street, making our facilities an ideal fit for fast-growing companies like Net2EZ."
