Roger Strukhoff is the Executive Director of the Tau Institute for Global ICT Research, with offices in Manila, Philippines and the Chicago area. In this role, he leads a team that examines the roles and dynamics of Information & Communications Technology within more than 100 nations throughout the world. He also serves as Conference Chair for CloudExpo ThingsExpo, and as Open-Source Track Chair for the global series of DCD Converged Conferences.

He has been named one of the Top 50 Cloud Computing and IoT Influencers in the world. He has also been named the Cognitive IoT Influencer for IBM InterConnect. Earlier in his career, he was Managing Editor of Unix Review, VP/Publisher at International Data Group (IDG), and Director of Global Publications at TIBCO Software.

Roger received his BA from Knox College, a certificate in Technical Writing from UC-Berkeley, and conducted MBA studies at California State University/East Bay.
