Industry Awards can range from the glitz and glamour of the Oscars to the ‘Best Dressed Traffic Warden’ but they all share the same underlying human motivational base – peer recognition. When the ‘industry’ is outside of the public arena and specialised, like our very own ‘data centre’ world, the competition for (and industry recognition of) an award – both by peers and potential customers (but always ‘people’) becomes far more personal and coveted. That is what has happened to the Datacentre Leaders' Awards – they have become our industries Oscars, the most coveted of all gongs. Not the only kid on the block but the best.
