Following our record breaking 2017 event which brought together over 750+ key leaders in the industry from 30 countries, the sector’s most prestigious awards are back and set to excel in celebrating even more great achievements across the world from the past year!
The Awards for 2018 have 18 refreshed categories which include three brand NEW categories to choose from. The categories range from highlighting outstanding and innovative data centers and projects to recognizing individuals/teams from around the world. We want to hear from you and the successful work you have achieved.
The deadline for entries is 14 September, and the list of finalists will be revealed at our Zettastructure Event in London and published on 5 November. Then the winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner on Thursday 6 December at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, one of London’s most prestigious venues.

Extreme achievements
The winners will all be decided by a panel of independent judges, apart from a Public Vote category, which this year will line up the world’s most extreme data centers - facilities that serve on battlefields, sea beds or in outer space.
Last year, the Mare Nostrum Barcelona Super Computing Center won the Public Vote category for Most Beautiful Data Center.
In 2017, the Gala Dinner raised more than £55,000 ($78,000) for the children’s charity Chain of Hope. This year the DCD Global Awards are proud to continue to support the same good cause.
In 2017, Microsoft won the Mission Critical Innovation Award for the “stark and simple” data center design which builds fuel cells into the racks.
Other winners included Teraco, for an efficient energy project at the Isando data center in South Africa, and Norway’s DigiPlex for Operations Team of the Year.
