The LDeX2 site will offer colocation facilities with a capacity of 4MVA, multiple network carriers and global Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) as well as offering 24x7 customer support. The provider has promised that it will announce multiple network carriers offering ultra-fast low latency connections in the coming months.

Onsite satellites

Like the company’s LDeX1 bulding in London, the new 20,000 sq ft (roughly 2,000 sq m) facility in Trafford Park will have an onsite satellite farm and will provide connections to content delivery networks and cloud platforms, so customers can broadcast large scale events and stream content over multiple hosted platforms.

The data center will be energy efficient, LDeX promises, with a 100 percent uptime service level agreement (SLA) and disaster recovery inluded in the packages on offer, along with remote support services.

“As a growing technological hub, Manchester is a great strategic fit for us in expanding our portfolio,” said Rob Garbutt, CEO of LDeX, ”We look forward to investing in the economy there and providing employment and IT services to the local market.”
