Carrier neutral data center operator IXcellerate’s Moscow One data center has been certified for design, build and operation accreditation to IBM Resilience Level 3 - making it the first carrier neutral facility in Russia to receive the accreditation.

The IBM certification is measured as an equivalent to the TIA-942 Tier III classification but with the addition of covering cabling infrastructure, tiered infrastructure reliability, environmental considerations, site space and layout.

The Resilience Level Code was developed by IBM to compare the functionality of a particular data center infrastructure and examines the facility’s ability to provide concurrent maintainability with no disruption to service.

IBM Level 3 also works as a guarantee for data center clients with at least 99.982% availability during worst-case disruption, the same as Tier III certification.

IXcellerate said it exceeds this by offering its clients 99.999% service level agreement where they are reimbursed if the downtime exceeds 5 minutes and 16 seconds per year.

IXcellerate’s Moscow One facility opened in 2012 and is set over a 15,000 sq m campus.
