UPSL offers integrated generator and UPS package

Removes the risk of "mis-sizing systems"
(2/10/2009)
Uninterruptible Power Supplies Limited launched its Powerwave standby generator range.

“With increasing connectivity in IT and growing round-the-clock dependence on critical loads, seamless interaction between UPS and standby generators is a vital development,” said UPSL generator sales manager Kevin Ashton.

The company is now offering a combined UPS and generator package. “With separate supply there is a risk of mis-sizing systems, which can cause installation and commissioning problems,” said Ashton. “Individual units can also compromise system autonomy. A packaged solution guarantees compatibility and ensures a true no-break supply in the event of a power failure.”

Initially UPSL will focus its core offering on mid-range generators up to 700kVA, to match their UPS range ratings. The Powerwave range comprises open or canopied generators and container units, either for purchase or short and long-term rental contracts.
